Los Angeles, California, United States Stephanie Prendergast received her bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from Rutgers University and her master’s in physical therapy from the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. In 2006, she teamed up with Elizabeth Akinciular and opened the doors to the Pelvic Health and Rehabilitation Center in San Francisco, CA. In 2007, they developed the first continuing education course for medical professionals on Pudendal Neuralgia and taught the course over 45 times around the world. In 2013, Stephanie was the first physical therapist to be elected President of the International Pelvic Pain Society. In 2016, Liz and Stephanie published the popular book, Pelvic Pain Explained. Today, the Pelvic Health and Rehabilitation Center has nine locations throughout California and New England and Liz and Stephanie continue to lecture around the world and author publications.
