The Dry Needling for OTs 2 (OTDN-2) course features several lectures about the scientific basis and etiology of myofascial pain and peripheral and central sensitization. This course will include many muscles commonly addressed in clinical practice, such as the cervical spine, craniomandibular, paraspinal, quadratus lumborum, and even the longus colli muscles. Students will review the anatomy, function and dry needling techniques for each muscle.
Pre-Course videos will be provided after registration. If you prefer to review the presentations in a live webinar, you can register for the DN-2 Webinar.
- Demonstrate three different dry needling approaches for the lateral pterygoid muscle
- Name at least four anatomical structures to avoid when needling the scalene muscles
- Demonstrate two different dry needling approaches for the zygomaticus muscles
- Discuss three indications for dry needling of the longus colli muscle
