Full Course Description

During the ODN-2 course, students will continue with multiple practical sessions of dry needling of trigger points in the orofacial muscles including the zygomaticus, risorius, buccinator, medial and lateral pterygoid, anterior and posterior digastric, geniohyoid, and longus colli muscles. In addition, students will fine-tune dry needling techniques of the muscles covered in the ODN-1 course. Special attention will be places on whiplash-associated disorders.

This is a two-day course, which will prepare the participants for the Orofacial Dry Needling Certification Examinations on the second day of the course.

- Demonstrate two different dry needling approaches for the lateral pterygoid muscle
- Compare and contrast three basic principles of dry needling and trigger point injections

- Discuss the four stages of the movements of the head and trunk following a rear-end collision
