Biography

A highly credentialed clinician and influential advocate, Dr. Stanborough is a Dutch-trained physical therapist, holding a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), a Master of Health Science (MHSc), and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). He is currently a Senior Instructor for Myopain Seminars.

His authority in dry needling is uniquely grounded in legislative action: he initiated efforts to pass dry needling legislation in Florida in 2009, testified multiple times, and helped draft the final Florida PT dry needling law, passed in 2020.

Clinically, he is the founding partner of First Coast Rehabilitation, maintaining a regular practice with a strong background in both neuro and orthopaedics. He has presented nationally and internationally on myofascial manipulation, dry needling, and chronic pain, and is a former faculty member of the University of St. Augustine.
