Dr. Thomas Perreault is a Clinical Specialist at Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, New Hampshire, a community hospital part of the Mass General Brigham network. He has been in clinical practice since 2008 with an extensive background in the management of spinal disorders, temporomandibular disorders, and headaches. He graduated from the University of Maine in 2004 with a  Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and in 2008, from Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He is a graduate of the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (IOMT) in Massachusetts, and he is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS).

Dr. Perreault has authored over 14 peer-reviewed articles on the topic of dry needling and has recently co-authored the book chapter titled “Intramuscular Electrical Stimulation,” to be released in the 3rd edition of the Dry Needling textbook in 2024. In addition, he is the co-developer of the new online course on intramuscular electrical stimulation, which is offered exclusively through Myopain Seminars.

Dr. Perreault has lectured nationally and internationally on topics related to Dry Needling for musculoskeletal conditions and he has taught dry needling certification courses for several continuing education companies in the United States. Dr. Perreault is currently underway in his PhD studies, investigating the impact of dry needling for headache disorders.
