Atlanta, Georgia, United States Dr. Gebhardt received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Georgia State University in 2008 and completed her Orthopedic Residency at Mercer University in 2010. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. She is an adjunct clinical professor at Mercer University teaching in the entry-level Physical Therapy curriculum as well as the orthopedic residency. She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist Maggie received her Dry Needling Certification through Myopain Seminars in 2009.

Maggie enjoys all things related to the outdoors especially when she gets to explore it with her German Shepherd, Josie. She is always up for trying out a new restaurant and loves to spend time in her kitchen trying out new recipes. Her Saturdays in the fall are always spent cheering on her Georgia Bulldogs...Go Dawgs!

She is an adjunct clinical professor at Mercer University teaching in the entry-level Physical Therapy curriculum and the orthopedic residency. She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS,) a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP,) American Physical Therapy Association (APTA,) and the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia (PTAG.) Maggie has been published on topics related to runners and medical screening in physical therapy. She has also presented on topics related to nerve pain, chronic pain, runners’ injuries, hypermobility syndrome, and clinical reasoning for the physical therapist. Her area of research is related to the use of clinical reasoning by the physical therapist in the clinic as well as its role in the physical therapy curriculum.
